About the role
- Senior Business Intelligence Engineer managing Tableau Cloud environment at Sunrun. Responsible for data platform health, automations, and user enablement with collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator for our Tableau Cloud environment.
- Manage users, permissions, sites, and projects.
- Ensure the platform is secure, reliable, and performant for all users.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing automations written in Python and Google Apps Script.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to write and analyze data observability tests.
- Assist with the general health and maintenance of our data platforms, including dbt and Snowflake.
- Provide support and guidance to our business users and analysts.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working as a Tableau administrator, business intelligence analyst, or in a similar data-focused role.
- Proven experience as a Tableau Administrator, including managing a Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud environment.
- Strong experience with SQL is essential.
- Experience with Snowflake is highly desirable.
- Experience with a programming language (ex: Python) is required.
- Experience with Google Apps Script is a plus.
- Familiarity with concepts of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data pipelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and curious mindset.
