About the role

• Senior Backend Developer at Telefónica Tech focusing on IoT and Big Data. Develop scalable APIs, SDKs, and security services in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain APIs, SDKs and platform services.
• Implement integrations and orchestration layers for agents and AI services.
• Ensure security, performance and observability in cloud-distributed systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary squads, supporting technical decisions and the evolution of the architecture.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Participate in technical discussions, proposing solutions aligned with engineering best practices.
• Support and mentor less-experienced developers, strengthening a culture of quality.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in backend development (Node.js, Nest.js).
• Experience in microservices architecture and development.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes for building, deploying and managing applications.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures (preferably Azure: AKS, Event Hub, Cosmos DB, Redis, MongoDB Atlas).
• Experience with REST APIs and gRPC, messaging and asynchronous communication (SSE, WebSockets).
• Experience with CI/CD in Azure DevOps and Git version control.
• Knowledge of API security (OAuth 2.0, authentication, credential management).
• Nice to have:
• Experience with language models and artificial intelligence.
• Knowledge of best practices for prompt engineering.
• Experience with agent and orchestration libraries (LangChain, LangGraph).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with observability (logs, metrics and monitoring).
