About the role

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of actuarial models to support pricing strategies and new product initiatives
  • Analyze healthcare trends, claims experience, and demographic data to inform business decisions and pricing assumptions
  • Oversee and mentor the Pricing Specialist, providing guidance on methodologies, models, and reporting
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Underwriting, Operations, and Sales to ensure alignment of actuarial insights with business strategies
  • Prepare and present clear, actionable actuarial reports and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, actuarial standards, and reporting obligations
  • Monitor emerging healthcare and insurance trends to proactively adapt pricing models and risk assessments
  • Drive continuous improvement in actuarial processes, tools, and methodologies

Requirements

  • Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA), or equivalent
  • 8+ years of progressive actuarial experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong background in health insurance, healthcare financing, and risk management
  • Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS
  • Advanced skills in actuarial and financial modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex actuarial concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Prior experience managing actuarial staff or analysts (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Philippine healthcare regulations and compliance standards (preferred)
  • Familiarity with actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, GGY AXIS) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) (preferred)
  • Exposure to predictive modeling and machine learning techniques (preferred)
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to influence organizational decisions (preferred)
