Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Accounting Services in overseeing accounting and financial reporting functions
- Assist in billing, project planning, and consolidated reporting, including budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Develop and manage financial models to support annual operating plans, forecasts, and scenario analyses
- Partner with Project Managers to deliver accurate and timely project performance insights
- Provide financial analysis to influence and support business decisions
- Identify and implement process improvements to standardize and automate reporting
- Contribute to system upgrades, process design, and financial controls
- Mentor and support accounting team members
- Complete monthly and year-end accounting tasks
- Ensure compliance with statutory, financial, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a financial capacity in a project-based work environment
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience related to accounting/finance
- Previous experience working in architecture, construction, and civil engineering industry preferred
- Completed degree in accounting or a related subject, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Deltek (Vision/DPS/Vantagepoint) and database skills
