Responsibilities
- Lead technical teams, manage projects, technical risk analysis, and provide technical guidance.
- Demonstrate leadership in incident response, POA&M resolution, and continuous monitoring.
- Ability to develop SOPs, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms aligned with SLAs and KPIs.
- Proven experience engaging with Federal leadership, Cybersecurity Operations Centers (CSOC), and compliance offices.
- Experience coordinating with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years focused on security engineering and 5+ experience in a lead or management role.
- PMP is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field experience preferred.
- Experience with overseeing a hybrid infrastructure (on-prem and cloud) environment.
- Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills in explaining complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders as well as executive-level reporting.
- Demonstrate familiarity with cloud security concepts, services, and operations (AWS, Azure, O365) including migration, security hardening, and cost optimization.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices including secure code and automation is incorporated into the build, test, and deployment process for security operations.
- Managing a variety of enterprise cybersecurity tools including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms across a hybrid environment
- Experience integrating data pipeline solutions with SIEM platforms.
- Hands-on experience with federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-92, OMB M-21-31, CDM).
- Strong background in infrastructure management: Windows/Linux servers, patching, vulnerability remediation, network appliances, and endpoint security.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities for identifying and addressing security issues
- Demonstrated leadership in incident response, POA&M resolution, and continuous monitoring.
- Ability to develop SOPs, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms aligned with SLAs and KPIs.
