About the role

  • Help to evaluate our currently existing automation framework and test scripts and drive any necessary changes.
  • Defining, developing, maintaining, and executing the automation of test scripts utilizing various functional frameworks to provide robust test coverage.
  • Developing an easy-to-understand test coverage matrix and reporting on automation’s successes and failures.
  • Striving to ensure that User Stories and/or system requirements are satisfied for internal and external application users.
  • Ensuring automation coverage and test execution are complete during each development cycle and before release.
  • Involvement in new feature automation supporting the development team.
  • Conducting feasibility studies on comprehensive test plans that drive the automation strategy.
  • Conducting test-leveling exercises to determine the best test layer to secure code quality.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full-time, hands-on SDET experience in an agile environment.
  • Experience in automating APIs, data testing, web applications, iOS and/or Android mobile apps.
  • Experience in JS, Web driver IO, Cypress, or Selenium (Python is a plus).
  • Exposure to automation tools such as Appium, XCTest, Xcode and Android Studio, Sauce Labs, or similar.
  • Passion and desire to learn best in class test automation process.
  • Experience with different types of performance testing (load, stress, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to gain expertise in system-level testing, development and software design and solid working knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Cypress preferred) and coding languages (JavaScript or Java).
