About the role

  • Build and strategically grow sales activities with major retail companies across the DACH region and Europe
  • Identify, qualify and develop enterprise accounts with a focus on sustainable, partnership-based customer relationships
  • Manage the entire sales cycle — from initial contact through proposal development (including RFI/RFP) to contract closing
  • Work closely with management, PreSales, architecture, delivery and product teams to develop tailored solution concepts
  • Deliver pitches, presentations and workshops at C-level
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategy, market positioning and partner networks
  • Use and maintain CRM systems to manage pipeline, forecasts and account strategies

Requirements

  • More than 5 years' experience selling complex IT or software solutions to enterprise clients (ideally in retail or omnichannel environments)
  • Solid understanding of retail processes (POS, checkout, payment, loyalty, ERP integration, omnichannel)
  • Experience with tender processes (RFI/RFP) and decision-making structures in the enterprise segment
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in German and English — confident engaging with C-level stakeholders
  • High self-motivation, strong closing skills and strategic thinking
  • Willingness to travel within Europe
  • Basic technical understanding and ideally a degree in (business) computer science or a comparable field
  • Knowledge of solution selling, value selling or strategic account management is an advantage
  • Existing contacts in the retail industry (e.g., grocery, fashion, DIY, consumer electronics) are a plus
