Quality Engineer ensuring the quality of axle components at Ford Sterling Axle Plant. Gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment with a focus on product quality.
Responsibilities
Monitor and improve quality for all product lines manufactured at the Sterling Axle Plant (SAP).
Support the plant team in achieving key SAP metrics, including First Time Through (FTT), Jobs Per Hour (JPH), and Waste Elimination/Hidden Factory initiatives.
Provide necessary support to the driveline organization while on-site at SAP, including process reviews, functional trial runs, and product reviews.
Conduct comprehensive warranty part analysis, encompassing initial analysis, development, and driving work streams to determine root cause, implement corrective action(s), and prevent recurrence.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in MS Office-based software.
Interest in learning and developing familiarity with engineering tools such as WERS, Teamcenter, and Minitab.
