About the role
- Quality Assurance Intern automating testing and ensuring quality for Network Packet Capture tools at BlueCat. Collaborating with QA Engineers and Software Engineers under a flexible hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Help automate the testing of our Network Packet Capture and Analysis tools
- Ensure our products continue to have best in class quality and scalability
- Reduce the effort needed to regress a large and complex product that runs on multiple platforms
- Partner closely with both QA Engineers and Software Engineers to understand the product areas under test
- Provide automated tests that exercise all elements in a given feature
Requirements
- Comfort with some form of scripting language with Python being preferred
- Familiarity with Linux and working from the command line to execute tasks
- Good communication skills as you will interact with others frequently and need to document your work
- Some experience with a test framework like Pytest (preferred)
- Familiarity with source control like Git (preferred)
