About the role
- QA Engineer working with the development team to design test strategies and maintain test frameworks. Focused on ensuring quality in product releases and exceptional user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure that our web applications function as expected.
- Work closely with the development team to understand the product requirements and features.
- Create automated tests and maintain existing test suites to improve test efficiency.
- Identify, record, and document thoroughly any bugs found during testing.
- Participate in the design and development meetings to provide input on potential quality issues.
- Help troubleshoot issues, suggesting improvements, and ensuring that updates are tested before being deployed.
- Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Analyze test results, discover and report root causes for test failures.
- Ensure that all aspects of quality are measured and that defects are reported and dealt with during the product life cycle.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Requirements
- A native or fluent Mandarin speaker with 2+ years of experience as a QA Software Engineer
- Experience in testing APIs, Micro services, Web services, and Web pages
- Excellent analytical skills, with demonstrable experience driving issues to resolution
- Experience working closely with developers, product and delivery managers, and other stakeholders
- A desire to be involved in all aspects of product development from inception through planning, design, implementation, and delivery
- The ability to engage with software engineers to embed quality in all stages of development
- A passion for becoming a domain expert in the systems we build, and the customers who use them
- Analytical and critical thinking skills - asking good questions, challenges assumptions and challenge existing ideas and viewpoints
- Test automation with knowledge in Java, Python
- Proficiency in Selenium Framework, JMeter, etc
- Experience in Agile environment and comfortable with fast-paced delivery process
