About the role
- Project Engineer for SCADA supporting project planning and design in renewable energy. Collaborating with various teams to ensure successful SCADA system implementations.
Responsibilities
- Support owner project planning and design review activities with project management and EPC groups.
- Coordinate successful implementation of project specific EPC designs utilizing existing plant SCADA design standards.
- Support the Senior SCADA Engineer ensuring SCADA systems meet project requirements.
- Work with Operations SCADA group to update SCADA specifications and standards.
- Perform owner engineer reviews for substation and plant SCADA design packages.
- Coordinate with Operations SCADA group and IT department for design specifications.
- Prepare substation and plant SCADA network block diagrams and functional descriptions.
- Ensure timely and correct installation of SCADA system equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferred.
- 5+ years related to Energy industry SCADA and network architecture, renewable power generation a plus
- Knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC, DNP3, Ethernet/IP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as necessary.
- Clear oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to work closely with team members of diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
