About the role
- Product Platforms Design Owner optimizing how equity indices platforms are designed at S&P Dow Jones Indices. Collaborating with Agile teams to improve user experiences and deliver technology-enabled solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver user-centered, technology-enabled solutions that optimize how equity indices platforms are designed.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog for equity index platforms.
- Write clear, testable user stories to support Agile sprint planning and delivery.
- Partner with developers, designers, and other Product Owners to manage dependencies.
- Use structured feedback loops to influence roadmap direction and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in product management or product ownership within an Agile and scaled Agile (SAFe) environment.
- Ability to translate complex user and business requirements into actionable backlog items and deliverables.
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills to align stakeholders across Product, Technology, and Index Operations.
- Data-driven approach to prioritization and decision-making, balancing user value with technical feasibility.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas and influence outcomes across teams.
- Demonstrated curiosity and empathy in engaging with users to uncover insights and improve product usability.
- Understanding of equity markets, index operations, or financial data workflows.
- Experience supporting equity index design, calculation, or distribution platforms.
- Familiarity with data integrations, workflow automation, or index lifecycle tooling.
- Exposure to financial technology platforms or cloud-based enterprise systems.
- Understanding of product analytics, feedback loops, and continuous improvement methodologies.
