About the role
- Power BI Developer optimizing dashboards and reporting for Fleet Alliance. Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and maintain data accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimise interactive dashboards and visualisations, ensuring accuracy, performance, and a strong user experience.
- Clean, validate, and restructure existing data sources and tables for reliable reporting, using Power Query or other appropriate transformation methods.
- Connect Power BI to SQL, APIs, and gateways, ensuring secure, efficient data pipelines.
- Gather requirements, prototype layouts, and refine reports through feedback and workshops.
- Maintain data security and compliance, stay current with Power BI updates, and improve existing reports.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Microsoft certifications are a plus.
- 5+ years’ experience in Power BI development, with advanced proficiency in DAX, SQL, and data modelling, including performance optimisation.
- Proven ability to create reports for all business levels, including executive and board level.
- Experience integrating Power BI with enterprise and cloud data sources via APIs, gateways, and direct connections.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, dataflows, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Solid grasp of data visualisation and UI/UX design principles, with familiarity in tools such as Figma or Balsamiq.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts to enhance reporting and analysis.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and Agile collaboration.
