About the role

  • Provides direct care to patients with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team to implement and coordinate care.
  • Participates in assigned staff development and research activities.
  • Conducts clinical assessments and develops intervention/treatment plans.
  • Partners with patients and families to define and implement physical therapy interventions.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy required. Doctoral Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pediatric therapy strongly preferred.
  • Current State of Connecticut Physical Therapist License required or Temporary State of Connecticut License with the oversight of Licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/ CPR in adult, child and infant within first six months of hire.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.
  • Beginning to intermediate skill in Microsoft Office. Bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to perform standardized clinical assessments and a range of physical therapy techniques.
