About the role

  • Work with the Medical Communications (MedComms) team to develop scientific communications
  • Research, write, and edit manuscripts, abstracts, slide presentations, posters, and other deliverables
  • Collaborate on client projects and contribute to highly visible pharmaceutical product communications
  • Review study data and distill findings into thorough, well-written deliverables
  • Ensure all versions of deliverables are saved to team files following standardized naming
  • Communicate clearly with team members to achieve content development goals
  • Deliver work by designated deadlines and follow project development processes
  • Apply knowledge of preclinical and clinical drug development to content
  • Display working knowledge of good publication practices and publication components
  • Work respectfully and productively with internal teams, onsite and remote

Requirements

  • MD, PhD in the life sciences, or PharmD required
  • Prior experience writing peer-reviewed publications, congress abstracts, posters, and slide decks
  • Ability to independently write and edit scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and training materials
  • Understanding and familiarity with most current AMA style
  • Ability to understand and properly determine accuracy of scientific information and data in a variety of biological fields
  • Understanding of various aspects of preclinical and clinical drug development
  • Displays working knowledge of good publication practices
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate in a virtual setting
  • Outstanding organizational/time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Team player with a detail-oriented work ethic
  • Works well in a team environment (onsite and remote)
  • Ensures all versions of a deliverable are saved to the team file according to standardized file naming criteria
  • Reviews study data and distills into thorough and well-written deliverables
  • Ability to work in the United States or Canada (role can be based in US offices or remote in Canada/US)
