Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- System-level understanding of a gas turbine engine.
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and requirements, including casting, machining, welding, and heat treatment.
- Strong Drawing Interpretation skills, including GD&T.
- Knowledge of the gas turbine engine industry, specifically regarding how design requirements are communicated and maintained in production.
- Proven understanding and application of solid mechanics, dynamics, fatigue, and finite element analysis.
- Capability to perform complex analyses and hand calculations of engine components and systems.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to interact with engineering teams, other disciplines, and external (supplier or customer) parties.
- Proficiency in FEA (ANSYS or equivalent), 3D modeling (CAD), and GOM analysis (Structured light scan) of gas turbine engine static structures and systems
