Licensed Outpatient Therapist providing mental health services including therapy and assessments. Contributing to well-being through collaborative care in Virginia.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the well-being of others through individual, family, and group therapy.
Possess extensive knowledge of mental health conditions and best practices to appropriately diagnose and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate a client's mental and physical health, the severity of their addiction, and their readiness for change.
Use this information to develop a personalized treatment plan with the client.
Strong oral and written communication skills to counsel and advise patients.
Facilitate individual therapy sessions along with group, weekly.
Lead both adult and/or adolescent substance use group to help clients identify the root causes of their addiction, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and prevent relapse.
Work cohesively with peers and interdepartmental/external providers to address additional care or services, when required.
Engage in weekly peer support and training opportunities.
Working collaboratively with the management team to maintain billable expectation.
Intervening with emergency care techniques and complying with reporting protocols during patient crisis.
Comply with Commonwealth of Virginia Mandated Reporting Laws.
Responsible for monitoring and auditing case files.
Maintain compliance with Licensure, HIPAA, Medicaid, Department of Social Services and other professional standards and funding sources.
Maintain licensing as required.
Represent DOS in a positive and professional manner.
Requirements
Must physically reside in the state of Virginia
Possess a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the human services field, social work, education or other allied discipline.
Diverse clinical background with previous outpatient therapy experience, preferred
CSAC is a plus!
Must hold a valid, current Commonwealth of VA Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s liability insurance.
Benefits
Competitive Pay! Potential starting salary from $55,000 - $85,000, dependent on credentials and experience.
