About the role

• Legal Counsel providing expert advice in commercial contracting and legal compliance for Keylane. Collaborating with business teams to ensure legal alignment and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, negotiating and amending (international) sales and vendor contracts
• Advising on data protection matters, from negotiating data processing agreement to assisting the business in drawing up data transfer analyses
• Assisting on day-to-day corporate work
• Supporting business with performing risk analyses and mitigation actions
• Advising business on company’s policies
• Following legal developments and translating these into practical instructions to board and business.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in (European Union member state) law
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial contracting, preferably dealing with IT and privacy matters
• Interest in contract, IT and privacy laws
• Interest in working for the financial sector with its regulatory environment
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Excellent drafting and communication skills in English – knowing some Dutch is preferred
• Daring to advise and taking a position, thereby balancing risks and business interests
• Cooperative, down-to-earth and pro-active.
