About the role

• IT Systems and Cloud Engineer supporting on-premises and Azure infrastructure for a leading industrial company in Greece. Contributing to automation, security, and innovation in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• As a hands-on IT Systems and Cloud Engineer you will be part of the IT Systems and Cloud Team, and you will participate in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments – across all company locations.
• Support and maintain on-premises and Azure infrastructure.
• Administer virtualization and cluster environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Manage Azure technologies: Virtual Machines, Networking, Monitoring, Azure Arc.
• Handle enterprise directory and identity solutions (Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO, MFA).
• Administer and support the Office 365 platform.
• Deploy and manage security tools (MS Defender, BitLocker, MDM via Intune).
• Oversee centralized infrastructure and endpoint services (AV, OS deployment, patching, etc.).
• Evaluate systems and provide technical guidance to IT support staff.
• Participate in infrastructure capacity planning and upgrades.
• Maintain critical infrastructure (storage systems, NAS, hosts).
• Manage user accounts and enforce security policies.
• Participation in IT, Security & Business Projects.
• Promoting innovation /research of new technologies.
• Participation in on-call duty if required.

Requirements

• A BSc/MSc degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT system management and/or engineering with Microsoft technologies.
• 2+ years of experience in Azure cloud environments.
• Experience in Virtualization (Hyper-V and/or VMware) cluster administration.
• Experience in deploying Microsoft Azure environments, including hybrid setups.
• Strong skills in scripting and configuration management (e.g. PowerShell, Azure CLI)
• Strong understanding of security best practices.
• Basic understanding of network switching and firewalls.
• Strong communication skills in Greek and English language, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
• **Any experience in the following will be considered an asset:**
• Familiarity with HP and Dell servers, storage systems, and SAN switches.
• Experience in Zerto DR Solutions and/or Veeam Backup & Replication, or other equivalent.
• Experience with SQL Server in high availability (HA) and load balancing.
• Familiarity with IT/OT infrastructure in production environments (e.g., Purdue model).
• Experience in compliance environments (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 22301).
• Any Certifications such as:
• Server Administration & Virtualization (MCSA, MCSE, MCITP)
• Cloud Computing (AZ-104, AZ-801, MD-101)
