About the role
- Contribute to projects that change the landscape of financial services for Canadians and help users achieve financial freedom
- Build and work with a high-quality scalable data warehouse that powers decision-making
- Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to make financial products smarter
- Use decision science to measure impact of business choices and understand cause and effect
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers in a cross-functional team
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish, shipping frequently and iterating on solutions
- Participate in mentorship, intern programming, workshops, and hackathons
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution or technical bootcamp
- New graduates within 6 months of graduation
- Available to work full-time hours
- Residing in Canada
- Able to commute to Toronto HQ on Wednesdays and Thursdays
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, and scikit-learn (listed data stack)
- Educational background in math, operations research, economics, computer science, engineering, or business (preferred backgrounds)
- Comfortable working with machine learning, algorithms, and data warehouse technologies
- Able to participate in technical interviews and project review during hiring process
