About the role

  • Provide superior service, aiming for first-contact resolution in all interactions.
  • Maintain a curious, forward-thinking mindset and challenge the status quo to deliver best-in-class underwriting service.
  • Analyze data, pricing and coverage, tailoring products to the specific needs of Ovation clients.
  • Negotiate coverage options and premium while maintaining underwriting discipline and profitability.
  • Prepare new business submissions; endorsements, renewals and inspections.
  • Order and analyze reports, including claims history and driving records.
  • Navigate multiple applications simultaneously, including Broker Portal, property valuation software, Salesforce, Five9 and other web applications.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure prompt delivery.
  • Demonstrate high integrity as an Ovation representative with our broker partners, working with Ovation team members and leaders, as well as key stakeholders at Aviva Canada Inc.
  • Continuously update core skills and product/industry knowledge through internal and external learning opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in high-value property insurance
  • CIP, FCIP or CRM designation completed or in progress
  • Ability to interact professionally to build long-term relationships with brokers
  • Ability to listen to broker and client needs and respond effectively
  • Ability to work with internal business partners to deliver an excellent broker and client experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail when reviewing data and reading reports
  • Strong and effective analytical, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Superior time management, a proactive mindset and demonstrated productivity in a hybrid environment
  • Fully bilingual (French and English), written and spoken
  • Bilingualism: Proficiency in English in addition to French is required, as this role requires oral and written communication with our clients, partners and other Aviva Canada teams across Canada.
