About the role

• Head of Engineering for Emerging Platforms at MYOB, focusing on banking and Solo space technology strategies and agile team empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering engine behind one of our most exciting growth areas.
• Join MYOB as a critical enabler in realizing and driving the tech strategy within the banking and Solo space, evolving the technology landscape and practices to drive a transformation towards a product-led organisation.
• Play a pivotal role in leading and crafting the business product by creating and empowering agile teams, being responsible for the technology direction for the product.
• Implement modern architecture and engineering practices that deliver outstanding value to our customers, aligning with business objectives to deliver a high-performing and scalable SaaS solution.

Requirements

• Strong engineering or architectural background with experience guiding technical leaders and collaborating across product and design.
• Proven success delivering major technology initiatives, designing scalable cloud-based systems (AWS), and supporting customer-facing products.
• Experience in banking and/or mobile app development is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to establish agile practices and foster engineering culture in new teams.
• Skilled in building trust and influence across teams, executives, and suppliers.
• Strong leadership in mentoring, critical thinking, facilitation, and organisational change aligned with MYOB values.
