About the role

Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and execution of geotechnical investigations:
- Drilling and borehole investigations
- Soil and rock sampling
- Installation of observation wells and piezometers
- In-situ testing (e.g., Standard Penetration Tests, permeability tests)
- Supervise laboratory testing and ensure the quality of collected data
- Prepare technical reports and geotechnical analyses
- Collaborate with EXP’s multidisciplinary teams to support infrastructure, building, and land development projects
- Participate in preparing service proposals and estimating costs for geotechnical studies
- Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance of fieldwork
- Other related duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, mining engineering, or another relevant field
- Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering (an asset)
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of conventional geotechnical methods and soil classification
- ASP construction card
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable means of transportation for site visits
- Excellent spoken and written French
