About the role

  • Participate in the planning and execution of geotechnical investigations:
  • Drilling and borehole investigations
  • Soil and rock sampling
  • Installation of observation wells and piezometers
  • In-situ testing (e.g., Standard Penetration Tests, permeability tests)
  • Supervise laboratory testing and ensure the quality of collected data
  • Prepare technical reports and geotechnical analyses
  • Collaborate with EXP’s multidisciplinary teams to support infrastructure, building, and land development projects
  • Participate in preparing service proposals and estimating costs for geotechnical studies
  • Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance of fieldwork
  • Other related duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, mining engineering, or another relevant field
  • Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering (an asset)
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of conventional geotechnical methods and soil classification
  • ASP construction card
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable means of transportation for site visits
  • Excellent spoken and written French
