Responsibilities
Participate in the planning and execution of geotechnical investigations:
Drilling and borehole investigations
Soil and rock sampling
Installation of observation wells and piezometers
In-situ testing (e.g., Standard Penetration Tests, permeability tests)
Supervise laboratory testing and ensure the quality of collected data
Prepare technical reports and geotechnical analyses
Collaborate with EXP’s multidisciplinary teams to support infrastructure, building, and land development projects
Participate in preparing service proposals and estimating costs for geotechnical studies
Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance of fieldwork
Other related duties
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, mining engineering, or another relevant field
Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering (an asset)
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of conventional geotechnical methods and soil classification
ASP construction card
Valid driver’s licence and reliable means of transportation for site visits
