About the role

• Frontend Software Engineer building scalable web applications for EvenUp’s AI-driven platform. Collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality user interfaces in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance, accessible, and elegant user interfaces for EvenUp’s AI-driven platform
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to bring new features to life with exceptional quality and responsiveness
• Contribute to frontend architecture for major product surfaces, ensuring maintainability, performance, and scalability
• Develop and maintain design system components and shared libraries to streamline frontend development across teams
• Optimize web applications for speed, accessibility, SEO, and responsiveness across devices and browsers
• Contribute to engineering culture by mentoring peers and promoting best practices in frontend development
• Play a key role in complex engineering projects from ideation to deployment in a fast-paced, startup environment

Requirements

• Deep experience with modern frontend technologies like React (or similar frameworks like Vue or Svelte), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 (including preprocessors like Sass or styled-components), and modern build tools like Vite or Webpack
• Strong understanding of state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Jotai) and modern frontend architecture patterns
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, and UI/UX collaboration workflows using tools like Figma
• Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility (a11y), and responsive design
• Experience with frontend testing tools (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) and version control (Git)
• Familiarity with frontend deployment strategies and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven track record of shipping user-facing products in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
