About the role
- Finance Director & HR Manager driving strategic financial leadership and HR management at Hysopt. Leading financial planning and shaping HR strategies to support company growth and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Become a key strategic partner to the CEO and senior management.
- Lead financial planning, reporting, and compliance across multiple entities.
- Shape and execute HR strategy to support sustainable growth.
- Full ownership of financial management across Belgium, UK and the Netherlands.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting cycles; report directly to the Board of Directors.
- Lead external accountants to manage accounting, tax, audit, and consolidation processes.
- Ensure robust financial systems (Exact, Silverfin) and compliance.
- Identify profitable growth opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
- Analyse company processes, continuously improve efficiency and quality.
- Together with the CEO, develop the equity story for future funding and lead investment rounds.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in both Finance and HR at a senior management level.
- Experience with VC backed companies and navigating through the VC/PE landscape. Track record in funding rounds and/or investment realisations.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commercial mindset with strong negotiation capabilities.
- Fluent in English and Dutch; French and German are nice to have.
- Proficient in Excel and financial software (Exact, Silverfin).
- Passionate about innovation, sustainability, and working in a scale-up environment.
