About the role

  • Become a key strategic partner to the CEO and senior management.
  • Lead financial planning, reporting, and compliance across multiple entities.
  • Shape and execute HR strategy to support sustainable growth.
  • Full ownership of financial management across Belgium, UK and the Netherlands.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting cycles; report directly to the Board of Directors.
  • Lead external accountants to manage accounting, tax, audit, and consolidation processes.
  • Ensure robust financial systems (Exact, Silverfin) and compliance.
  • Identify profitable growth opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse company processes, continuously improve efficiency and quality.
  • Together with the CEO, develop the equity story for future funding and lead investment rounds.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in both Finance and HR at a senior management level.
  • Experience with VC backed companies and navigating through the VC/PE landscape. Track record in funding rounds and/or investment realisations.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commercial mindset with strong negotiation capabilities.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch; French and German are nice to have.
  • Proficient in Excel and financial software (Exact, Silverfin).
  • Passionate about innovation, sustainability, and working in a scale-up environment.
