Federal Observability Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise designing observability infrastructure in an OpsRamp environment. Collaborating with teams to ensure performance and reliability for a Federal Customer.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain the observability infrastructure in an OpsRamp environment
Configure and manage data sources, define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze performance trends
Configure log collection, aggregation, and analysis within the OpsRamp platform
Create and manage alerts, define escalation paths, and integrate with incident management systems
Develop and implement automated workflows and remediation actions within the OpsRamp platform
Design and build custom dashboards and reports to provide key insights into system health and performance
Integrate OpsRamp with other monitoring and observability tools as needed (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog, Elastic Stack)
Ensure data quality and integrity within the OpsRamp platform
Utilize OpsRamp data to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, application errors, and other operational problems
Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and fix root causes of issues
Continuously evaluate and optimize the performance and effectiveness of the OpsRamp platform
Requirements
US Citizen
Secret Clearance Required
Bachelor's degree preferred or Associate degree holder (technical field) with 6-8 years working experience in related fields desired
DD8750 - Security Plus or higher Security Certification (CISSP, CASP, etc)
Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash)
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Networking protocols knowledge (TCP/IP, HTTP)
Proven experience with the OpsRamp platform is a strong plus
Experience with at least 1 other observability tool (Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack, Splunk) is preferred
