Responsibilities
- Assist the design team to analyse vehicle performance in MATLAB, Simulink, Adams (or equivalent) and calibrate vehicle control parameters.
- Determine vehicle propulsion and power distribution requirements and select appropriate components including inverters, motors, power converters, batteries and engines.
- Electrify traditionally mechanical driveline systems including axles, steering and suspension systems.
- Design high and low-voltage circuits based on customer specifications using 3D or schematic modelling software.
- Design wiring harnesses for conventional and hybrid axle and driveline systems.
- Select electrical components and ensure that their installation and operation conform to standards and customer requirements.
- Work on vehicle communication networks including CAN and hardware signalling.
- Other tasks as designated by your manager.
Requirements
- Strong design and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in developing software through MATLAB, Simulink or C, C++
- Experience using one or more of the major CAD systems (SolidWorks, Visio).
- Motivated self-starter who will also be able to operate in a team environment.
- An interest in vehicles and product development.
