About the role
- Electrical Designer providing design and drafting services for substation and utility projects using AutoCAD Electrical. Ensuring compliance with client standards and industry practices while supporting project execution.
Responsibilities
- The Electrical Designer position is responsible for providing design and drafting services in support of substation and utility projects, ensuring all work meets client standards, industry practices, and applicable codes.
- This role will utilize AutoCAD Electrical to develop detailed design drawings, schematics, and layouts that support project execution and client deliverables.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent
- 3- to 5-years of experience in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Electrical design/drafting experience & skilled in standard drafting practices
- Knowledge of or proficient in field investigations and measurements
- Familiarity with utility and client-specific standards
- Working knowledge of or familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Strong attention to detail and performing self-checking of work
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed
- Additional responsibilities associated with The Utility and Substation Designer may include visiting clients’ facilities and performing physical work such as walking, standing, climbing ladders and lifting.
