About the role
- Provision and manage Windows virtual servers (create/remove VMs, work with images/clones)
- Configure firewalls, Active Directory, and virtual networks
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows-based system issues
- Develop CLI utilities, web services, and automation tools in Python 3
- Create REST API clients and contribute to the automated testing framework
- Manage MSSQL Server including backups, restores, and basic administration
- Write and execute SQL queries and stored procedures
- Support and maintain Chef scripts (Ruby-based) for VM configuration
- Manage deployment workflows in Octopus, troubleshoot issues, and update processes
- Design, implement, and maintain automated integration tests using Python & SQL
- Extend and enhance the test automation framework
- Document system components, processes, and test results
Requirements
- Windows Administration: Active Directory basics
- Firewall and network configuration
- Windows debugging and troubleshooting
- Python 3 Development (Python 3.6–3.12) with type annotations
- Strong understanding of OOP and PEP8 coding standards
- Experience with asyncio, requests, Flask/FastAPI, Selenium, pydantic
- Familiarity with Git flow, branching, pull requests, conflict resolution
- Strong SQL fundamentals and experience with MSSQL Server (backups/restores, queries, stored procedures)
- Understanding of REST and HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
- Intermediate English level
- Nice-to-have: C#, PowerShell scripting, Regex or XPath, Chef and/or Octopus/Jenkins, Finance/Trading domain knowledge
