Cybersecurity Lead Architect responsible for innovative cybersecurity solutions at Travelers. Collaborating with tech and business leaders to enhance cybersecurity and identity security systems.
Responsibilities
Provide architecture responsibility for the Cybersecurity business unit.
Works with the Senior leadership within Technology and Business to develop architecture priorities and direction to enable business imperatives.
Lead complex IAM efforts including customer identity strengthening, access modernization, RBAC, MFA for internal applications.
Provide cybersecurity architecture support for Zero Trust Network Access efforts.
Provide thought leadership and architecture support for application security, threat management and overall vulnerability management capability modernization.
Deliver, publish and socialize cyber architecture patterns, guidelines and decision records.
Provide technical leadership to help drive cyber architecture efforts to closure.
Drives continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt.
Create a partnership with Senior Software Engineering leadership.
Look for opportunities to capitalize on technology advances through analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential impact on the enterprise.
Defines and leads technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutions.
Hands-on prototyping of new technology solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s in technology related field or equivalent with 10+ years of technology architecture experience.
Provided mentorship to architecture leaders.
Provide Cybersecurity Architecture thought leadership over Generative AI security solutions.
Organizational and transformational Leadership Experience in an agile operating model.
Establishes strategic technology direction and architecture vision for an organization.
Expert level Software Engineering experience.
Developed technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goals.
Proven track record of Influencing C-level leadership.
Insurance technology experience.
Strong grasp of value creation and business capability models.
AWS Security Specialty Certification preferred. Has hands on experience in the last 3 years.
Executed technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API Strategy.
Current experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, and DevSecOps.
Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud.
Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) approaches, technology and procedure.
Working knowledge of Zero Trust principles, application security, and threat/vulnerability management.
Strong understanding of Cybersecurity.
Experience with large scale technology platforms.
Demonstrated proficiency in designing security solutions that align to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Cloud Security Alliance methodologies.
