About the role

  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of the program’s data, systems, and networks
  • Assist and drive complex ATO RMF packages
  • Design and implement system security into complex systems
  • Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security controls
  • Troubleshoot security and network problems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology systems engineering, or a related field, or applicable work experience
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required
  • 5 years of experience in cyber engineering (e.g., incident detection, incident response, forensic)
  • Strong understanding and experience with securing, configuring, and assessing network security products such as Cisco Firepower, Cisco ISE, and Splunk
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, Mitre Attack Framework, DoD Compliance Frameworks such as DoDI 8510, DoDI 8570, Zero Trust Architectures)
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and technologies
  • Familiarity and experience building and submitting complex ATO packages
  • Designing and implementing system security into complex systems
  • Experience with performing security vulnerability scans (ACAS)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
