About the role

  • Cybersecurity Engineer supporting defense programs including SLBM systems at MKS2 Technologies. Involves developing cybersecurity requirements and conducting threat analysis for military systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support mission-critical defense programs, including SLBM systems
  • Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and procedural guidance for combat systems
  • Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination across multiple classification levels
  • Lead working groups to formulate cybersecurity strategies addressing emerging threats
  • Analyze cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT policy gaps affecting combat systems
  • Design and document cybersecurity system engineering solutions for tactical platforms
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans tailored to combat systems
  • Create comprehensive documentation covering requirements, gap/threat analysis, system engineering, and risk mitigation
  • Utilize or develop Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models for cybersecurity analysis

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of direct experience with SLBM Programs
  • 5 years of program-specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems, or 10 years of general security engineering experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity requirements development
  • Demonstrated expertise in cyber threat analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in cyber engineering
  • Demonstrated expertise in cyber systems architecture development
  • Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity policy development
  • IAT Level II or higher certification per DoD 8570.01 (or successor)
