About the role
- Customer Excellence Engineer providing Level-2/3 support and Python integrations for customer systems. Collaborating with teams to ensure stable, documented operations across BACnet/Modbus protocols.
Responsibilities
- Level-2/3-Support & Incident-Handling: Ticket-Übernahme, Reproduktion/Analyse (Logs/Tracing), Debugging & Fixes in Python; saubere Übergaben an Engineering inkl. Rollout/Rollback-Hinweisen.
- Protokoll-Integration & Parametrisierung: BACnet/Modbus-Mappings (Point-Lists, Adressierung, Polling-Zyklen), Geräteschablonen und kundenspezifische Parameter von Pilot bis stabilem Wirkbetrieb.
- Automatisierungen & Tools: Entwicklung wiederverwendbarer Python-Skripte/Jobs (z. B. Konvertierungen, Checks, Batch-Konfiguration) inkl. Versionierung, Tests und Doku.
- Kundenprojekte & Rollouts: Planung, Steuerung und Kommunikation bei Onboardings/Changes; enge Koordination mit Platform & Infrastructure, Embedded Systems, Sales & Operations bis zur produktiven Übergabe.
- Qualität, Doku & Standards: Pflege von Runbooks, Checklisten, Changelogs & Wissensbasis; Definition Level 2 ↔ Level 3-Handover-Standards sowie einfache KPI-Reports.
Requirements
- BACnet & Modbus in der Praxis (u.a. Adressierung/Objekt-/Register-Mappings)
- Sehr gute Python-Scripting-Skills für Tools/Utilities/kleine Services; saubere Logs/CLI-Parameter
- Linux/Netzwerk-Basics: SSH, systemd/journal, TLS/Certificates, TCP/Ports, VPN
- APIs & Daten: REST/JSON, MQTT; SQL-Reads/Aggregationen auf PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB
- Sprache: Deutsch C1 (Kundenkontakt), Englisch B2
- Nice to have: Git/GitLab-Flow, CI/CD, Grafana; Erfahrung in Energie-/Gebäudetechnik.
