About the role

  • The candidate is responsible for Design, Engineering, PLC and HMI/SCADA systems, programming.
  • PLC Programming and testing.
  • Preparation of Engineering documentations pertaining to PLC and automation systems, Operation philosophies, test procedures, functional loop schematics, system architectures, drawings etc.
  • Conceptualize and operationalize the solution and document them for development.
  • Experience with project design deliverables such as datasheets, drawings, proposal documents, and Submittal documentation per customer specification and contract requirements.
  • Programming of PLC (Siemens/Rockwell/Schneider) for UV and Ozone systems.
  • Formulate a plan strategy for the engineering activities in order to achieve highest efficiency in delivery of documents/drawings.
  • Create PLC/visualization programs based on Siemens or other software development environments.
  • Checking functionality and documentation of the program status.
  • Review of developed features and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Configuration of the PLC/visualization programs in cooperation with the project managers and the electrical planning.
  • Preparation of Functional descriptions and operation philosophies.
  • Conducting technical discussions with the customer as part of the project management.
  • Planning, scope and lead the work to ensure completion within the specified window.
  • Engineering deliveries in scheduled time in planned way.
  • Systematic troubleshooting and troubleshooting in customer projects and standard templates.
  • Understand and provide end-to-end solution for a problem, be there in the entire project pertaining to PLC and SCADA.
  • Support for testing and commissioning UV and Ozone specific assemblies such as frequency converters, electronic ballasts etc.
  • Integration of field instruments to PLC/SCADA.
  • Support of the sales department in project acquisitions by creating system configurations and, if necessary, Bring about clarifications with the customer in the interests of the company.
  • Project manager for development projects, standardization projects and process optimization projects.
  • Examination of customer requirements after receipt of order at the factory or on site.
  • Experience coordinating with suppliers to obtain quotations, place orders, fulfill customer specification and contract requirements, including activities such as FAT.

Requirements

  • Education – Min BE degree.
  • Engineer or technician in energy technology/electrical engineering/information processing, but also measurement and control technology, or PLC programmer (with certificate) with relevant professional experience
  • Experience – Above 4 years professional experience in similar works.
  • Be proactive in understanding product/service and the implications of new features with peer engineers or self-training.
  • Must be conversant with latest technology, updated to latest market.
  • Awareness of applicable standards updated with latest applicable practices.
  • Willing to travel (may be <25%) and support for commissioning at site if required.
  • Candidate shall be preferably from in water and wastewater industry.
  • Experience in programming of PLC for Water and water treatment plants/UV/Ozone is added as an advantage.
  • Language skills: Good oral and written command of English language, at least B2, German C1 is added an advantage.
  • Special knowledge: Strong team working skills, with an ability to motivate himself.
  • Through knowledge of International/national standards pertaining to PLC/Automation.
