About the role
- Civil Designer designing detailed AutoCAD drawings for infrastructure projects with civil engineering teams. Managing CAD components and supporting engineers throughout project phases.
Responsibilities
- Work with civil, environmental and structural engineers to provide detailed AutoCAD drawings for civil infrastructure, site development, and dredging projects
- Develop dredge templates and calculate dredge volumes between existing and proposed surfaces
- Manage the CAD component of multidiscipline projects from start-up to completion, actively monitoring design details throughout each phase
- Serve as technical support for staff engineers and civil design technicians
- Follow design standards and workflows while learning new technologies within the Autodesk Civil 3D design platform
- Coordinate with other project disciplines as required
- Document and update drawings for record (“As-Builts”)
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, or a similar technical discipline
- 3+ years of applicable experience as a civil designer utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D
