About the role

  • understands the strategy, plans and priorities of the vendor(s) and turns that into our Tech Data business plan and profit maximisation strategy.
  • Responsible for recruitment and enablement of new partners and ongoing enablement of existing partners gives clear direction to the sales, marketing and pre-sales teams about what to do and how to succeed with the vendor(s).
  • uses all data sources to manage performance to Key Performance Indicators.
  • follows the “what? so what? now what?” mantra and runs forward looking QBRs and all vendor operational interlocks.
  • Actively seeks out ways to boost sales and grow share of wallet.
  • Builds strong personal relationships across the Vendor(s) and with key partners.
  • While responsible for revenue outcomes, the Business Manager position is responsible for managing a group of technologies and has the overarching relationship with the vendor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree qualification would be preferred.
  • Minimum High School certificate.
  • Diploma in IT or related field would be highly regarded.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience within IT distribution as a Vendor Business Manager, or an outbound account manager, or Business Development Manager with a customer service orientation.
  • Appropriate vendor product sales certifications or ability to achieve as part of the role.
  • A good understanding of the channel business and existing Security reseller partner relationships as well as MSP/MSSPs in Australia or New Zealand.
  • A solid understanding of cybersecurity technology would be highly regarded.
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, devise process and manage time and prioritisation.
  • Superior communications skills and ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external customers/vendors.
