About the role
- Building Science Project Engineer conducting building assessments and due diligence reports. Part of a leading engineering firm with a focus on Commercial Real Estate projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of buildings to evaluate the condition of the building systems and provide recommendations for immediate repairs
- Conduct appropriate site reconnaissance, data compilation and organization, and project research (historical, regulatory, etc.)
- Technical report authoring and preparation of quality supporting documents (maps, appendices, etc.)
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule and effectively communicate project progress and any issues as they arise to the Project Manager and client
- Provide solid recommendations and solutions to the Project Manager and client, while understanding the assessment’s potential impact on the transaction process
Requirements
- A Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Architecture or related Engineering Field (Civil, Mechanical, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience in architecture, engineering and/or construction/cost estimating
- 3+ years of experience performing property inspections
- 2+ years of experience completing similar work for financial institutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
