About the role
- Backend Engineer designing and scaling core systems for healthcare AI platform at Infinitus. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance and deploy AI healthcare solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power Eva’s healthcare interactions.
- Collaborate closely with Data Science, Frontend, and Infrastructure teams to bring AI and NLP solutions into production.
- Make technical tradeoffs to balance impact, user experience, and long-term scalability.
- Champion engineering best practices, including reducing technical debt and improving reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to growing a high-performing engineering culture.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and analysts to deeply understand user needs and deliver impactful solutions.
- Contribute to both short- and long-term technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of backend engineering experience, with a track record of shipping and scaling production systems.
- Strong expertise in backend languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java, C++).
- Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and modern DevOps practices.
- Solid foundation in designing APIs and integrating backend services.
- Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), with experience optimizing performance.
- Curiosity about ML/NLP concepts and interest in applying them at scale.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.
