About the role
- Design, build, and optimize SD Worx's Azure cloud environment within the Public Cloud & IDP Tribe.
- Architect a resilient, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient Azure platform.
- Champion automation using IaC (Bicep, Terraform) and GitOps to reduce manual operations.
- Lead on Azure security, governance, and compliance (GDPR, ISO27001, SOC2) and implement zero-trust principles.
- Apply FinOps strategies, autoscaling, and monitoring to optimize costs and performance.
- Mentor and lead Azure engineers; collaborate with product, DevOps, security teams, Microsoft, and partners to empower product teams.
Requirements
- Proven track record in Azure architecture, networking, security, and identity management.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform) and GitOps.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps tools.
- Strong knowledge of AKS, Azure Functions, and hybrid cloud (Azure Arc).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO27001, SOC2) and zero-trust security models.
- Leadership experience: mentoring engineers and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Azure certifications are a plus.
