About the role

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, build and deployment automation using Jenkins, Maven and related tools
  • Containerize applications and manage orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Integrate and operate cloud-based managed services (databases, error logging, etc.) on Azure or AWS
  • Develop and support REST & SOAP web services and microservices-based SOA architectures
  • Create, maintain and improve automated test environments, follow TDD/JUnit practices
  • Collaborate with development engineers, QA/Testing, Build, Project Management and external partners
  • Monitor implementation of design across the software development lifecycle and resolve roadblocks
  • Align technical roadmap, APIs and interaction design with teams based in US
  • Create and maintain software design and other relevant documentation
  • Track and actively reduce technical debt
  • Work in Agile Scrum teams, participate in code refactoring, pair programming and peer reviews
  • Conduct hands-on experimentation, product evaluations and proof of concepts for diverse technologies

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years related work experience with Bachelor’s degree OR 4+ years with Master’s degree (typical)
  • Hands on knowledge in web application tools & frameworks like Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience in automated test environments/TDD/JUNIT
  • Experience with Spring Framework, Docker Containers, Kubernetes, REST & SOAP Web Services, SOA
  • Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL and other relational databases
  • Experience with microservices-based architecture
  • Familiarity and/or experience with public cloud infrastructure (Azure or Amazon Web Services)
  • Hands-on experience with build and deployment tools; CI/CD best practices
  • Knowledge of Ant, Maven, GIT and Shell scripting
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Maven, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery with Jenkins
  • Strong believer of DevOps methodology and ability to follow Test-driven development best practices
  • Ability to rapidly learn and understand software from source code
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple products, locations, cultures and time-zones
  • Extensive experience collaborating within an Agile team; Epic/Feature/Story creation and solution design
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter with positive attitude, high ethics, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently execute & deliver on backlog without handholding
  • Must be flexible and tolerant of organizational complexity
  • Shift: Shift rotation - weekdays (India)
