About the role
- Accounting Services Representative reconciling Agency Bill Accounts for Intact's Agency Bill Team. Collaborating with Brokers to resolve discrepancies and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Post broker payments and statements to our A/R system accurately and maintain an electronic filing system.
- Perform Daily/Monthly reconciliation of assigned Broker accounts by analyzing, investigating and resolving outstanding transactions.
- Work closely with our Brokers and Underwriting Teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate electronic records of all discussion including follow ups.
- Respond to incoming Agency Bill inquiries.
- Escalate problematic brokers and unresolved discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare, attend and participate in Broker meetings/discussions.
- Use a variation of software systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook to generate spreadsheets, update databases and records.
Requirements
- Strong customer service attitude to maintain favorable business relationships and negotiate tactfully with brokers and underwriters.
- Past experience with reconciliations or data entry considered an asset.
- Detailed oriented, highly organized and prioritize the workload.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including advanced EXCEL skills.
- A good understanding of fundamental accounting concepts.
- Resourceful and able to deal with tight deadlines at month end.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
