About the role

  • Study Engineer for railway design projects at WSP in Lyon. Engage in civil engineering studies and collaborate in various project phases.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out design studies for civil engineering projects and railway track renewals
  • Preparing graphic deliverables and drawings for the different study phases and for contractor consultations
  • Analyzing input data and the existing site conditions
  • Participating in site visits and performing chainage of existing tracks
  • Preparing deliverables related to clearance (gabarit) analysis and alignment adjustments

Requirements

  • Degree in civil engineering (Bachelor's or Master's level) or equivalent
  • Significant professional experience in a railway engineering consultancy
  • Experience in railway alignment/track design studies (proficiency in GEORAIL, COVADIS, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Experience in railway track superstructure studies (proficiency in REGEVOIE, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Knowledge of French railway standards
  • Analytical, synthetic and critical mindset
  • Autonomous and rigorous
  • Curious and open-minded
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in BIM design would be a plus
