About the role

  • Adaptive Modeler with expertise in financial planning and Workday Adaptive Planning. Collaborating with finance leadership and analytics teams to optimize financial forecasting and budgeting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain sophisticated financial planning, forecasting, and long-range planning models within Workday Adaptive Planning
  • Find opportunities to improve and streamline existing financial planning processes through automation and improved model design within Adaptive Planning
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within Adaptive Planning by developing and managing data integrations from various source systems
  • Develop and maintain dynamic reports, dashboards, and visualizations within Adaptive Planning to deliver actionable insights to finance and business leaders
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as the need arises
  • Partner closely with finance business partners, department heads, and executive leadership to understand planning requirements, gather feedback, and ensure models meet evolving business needs
  • Provide ongoing support and administration for the Adaptive Planning environment
  • Develop and deliver training materials for end-users on Adaptive Planning models and processes
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of model design, processes, and data flows
  • Know the latest with Adaptive Planning standard processes, new features, and industry trends to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our planning solutions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • 3+ years of significant, direct experience designing, building, and implementing planning models within Workday Adaptive Planning
  • 3+ years of consulting experience
  • Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and core accounting principles
  • Proven experience in diagnosing business user's needs and developing tailored planning solutions
  • Strong data management and data validation skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data manipulation and automation a plus
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts
  • Workday Adaptive Planning Certification
  • Workday Reporting Certification
  • Workday Financials Certification
