Software Engineer II/III focusing on backend development for Innovid's global ad-tech platform. Developing high-load systems that support billions of transactions daily.
Responsibilities
Design and develop critical backend services, infrastructure components, APIs, and core modules.
Build and maintain microservices on AWS, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and high availability.
Develop systems capable of supporting billions of daily transactions in distributed environments.
Ensure production readiness, including performance, observability, stability, and incident ownership.
Lead software design efforts and contribute to architectural decisions.
Participate in end-to-end development: design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering Managers, and cross-functional R&D teams.
Influence engineering standards, best practices, and overall technical excellence.
Mentor teammates and contribute to a developer-centric culture of quality and ownership.
Requirements
Advanced student or graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields (mandatory).
Advanced English — fluent communication with global teams (mandatory).
2+ years of software development experience for level II, or 4–5+ years for level III.
Experience building SaaS, cloud-based products.
Strong experience with microservices and distributed architectures.
Hands-on experience with Linux/Mac terminal in production environments.
Strong command of Git and modern development workflows.
Experience with at least one modern backend language: Python, Java, Scala, Kotlin, PHP, JavaScript/Node.js, or React.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve complex engineering problems.
Strong communication skills in multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to Have: Experience with Flask, FastAPI, Celery, SQLAlchemy, or Boto3.
Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
Background in full-stack development with React.
Open-source contributions.
