About the role

  • Tax Analyst managing complex trust and 1099 tax records and filings for Wolters Kluwer. Collaborating with teams to ensure tax compliance and assist with special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file intermediate-level 1041 and 1099 tax returns and documentation
  • Maintain comprehensive and updated tax records
  • Assist in the preparation of tax estimates and forecasts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data for tax filings
  • Review and ensure accuracy in tax calculations and submissions
  • Conduct research on current tax laws and regulations
  • Respond to more tax inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and address discrepancies in tax documentation

Requirements

  • Degree in accounting or taxation, preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience preparing and reviewing trust tax returns 1041 experience highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of trust tax return concepts
  • Extensive usage of tax software, preferably CCH
  • Public accounting and/or bank/trust background
  • Enrolled Agent, CPA a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies
  • Strong PC and business software application skills, including Microsoft Office Suite - Excel
