About the role

  • Data Engineer responsible for developing ETL/ELT pipelines for Whow Games. Work includes optimizing data models and managing databases for analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines in Python and SQL to process, among other things, hundreds of millions of tracking events daily for our analytics tools
  • Design and implement a modern data stack as part of continuous reevaluations focused on the efficiency, performance, and usability of the currently used solutions
  • Design and optimize data modeling and data governance to ensure a clear and consistent data, analytics, and reporting environment
  • Monitor and administer tools and databases in the existing data stack (including DWS — equivalent to Postgres — and dbt)

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience in data engineering
  • Experience in data analytics — experience with DWS / Redshift is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, SQL, and NoSQL, and experience implementing ETL jobs
  • Experience building scalable cloud solutions (e.g., AWS or HWC)
  • Knowledge of administering data visualization tools such as Tableau is advantageous
  • Strong analytical mindset, team-oriented working style, and excellent communication skills
