About the role

  • Security Analyst (IAM) focusing on IAM design and governance for Whirr Crew's infrastructure. Enhancing security protocols and collaborating with various technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, design, and implement IAM policies, controls, and frameworks for virtual infrastructure and supporting management tools such as OpenShift, Veeam, and Chef
  • Improve authentication, authorization, and access provisioning processes across virtualized environments
  • Conduct regular security posture reviews and risk assessments of virtualization systems
  • Integrate IAM with enterprise security solutions such as Active Directory, MFA, SSO, and PAM
  • Ensure backup and disaster recovery platforms follow secure access practices and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to align IAM strategy with enterprise security architecture
  • Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities related to identity, access, and privilege escalation risks
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, security guidelines, and incident response playbooks for virtualized environments
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, security frameworks, and regulatory requirements related to IAM and virtualization

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience with OpenShift, Veeam Backup & Replication, and related virtualization platforms
  • Strong knowledge of IAM concepts including authentication, authorization, RBAC, MFA, SSO, and PAM
  • Experience integrating virtualization platforms with enterprise IAM and directory services
  • Familiarity with compliance and security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Benchmarks
  • Solid understanding of network security, virtualization security, and backup/data protection security
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
  • Nice to have: Certifications such as Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator, Veeam Certified Engineer, CISSP, CISM, or similar
  • Experience with cloud-based virtualization environments such as VMware Cloud, Azure, or AWS
  • Scripting or automation skills in PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or similar
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles applied to virtualization and backup platforms
