About the role

  • Consultant advising banking clients on regulatory requirements and transformation projects at Wavestone. Requires expertise in Financial & Regulatory Reporting and consulting experience.

Responsibilities

  • You advise our banking clients on the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
  • You support exciting transformation projects in regulatory reporting and advance our clients with your expertise.
  • You take responsibility for designing and implementing client-specific solutions, including integration with upstream systems, particularly in the Abacus360 or BAIS environment.
  • You roll up your sleeves and support our clients with operational report preparation and ideally bring an interest in new topics such as IReF and DORA.
  • You use AI-supported tools and data analyses to optimize regulatory processes and improve the quality of reports.
  • You continuously develop not only yourself but also our consulting approaches and win clients over with your enthusiasm for your work and for Wavestone.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in business administration, economics, (business) informatics and/or another degree with a banking background
  • Initial consulting experience or professional experience in the banking sector
  • Basic understanding of banks' financial & regulatory reporting
  • Initial experience with common reporting software (Abacus360 and/or BAIS)
  • Strong IT affinity
  • Initial experience analyzing regulatory requirements, preparing functional specifications and supporting implementations
  • Interest in AI technologies and their application to digitize and streamline regulatory processes
  • Confident communication skills in German and English
  • Enjoy maintaining client networks, building strategic partnerships and winning new projects
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel within the framework of a hybrid working model
