About the role

• Senior Consultant designing scalable software architectures for banking clients at Wavestone. Involves technical advisory and migration strategy development with a focus on modern paradigms.

Responsibilities

• You design and architect scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures for client projects in the banking domain.
• You provide technical consultancy to our clients on selecting appropriate technologies and architectural patterns.
• You analyze existing IT landscapes and play a key role in developing migration strategies.
• You create architecture and solution concepts as well as technical documentation.
• You support your team in proposal preparation and pre-sales activities.

Requirements

• You hold a completed degree (Business Informatics, Computer Science, or equivalent).
• You have several years of relevant professional experience in software architecture, ideally in the banking sector.
• You bring solid knowledge of modern architectural paradigms (e.g., Microservices, Event-driven Architecture, Domain-driven Design).
• You demonstrate experience with relevant technologies such as Java, .NET, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker, REST, Kafka, etc.
• You are familiar with regulatory requirements in the financial sector (e.g., BAIT, MaRisk, PSD2).
• You possess strong communication skills, excellent German and good English language skills, and very strong analytical abilities.
• Flexibility and a willingness to travel as required within our hybrid working model are a matter of course for you.
