About the role

  • QA Automation Engineer ensuring quality and reliability in iGaming software. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and focusing on automation with some manual testing.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of testing activities, proactively identifying gaps and proposing solutions
  • Navigate through projects with minimal documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to design and execute both manual and automated test cases.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and scripts.
  • Execute and analyze automated test suites, identifying defects and suggesting process improvements.
  • Perform manual testing for complex scenarios or where automation is not feasible.
  • Document and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Advocate for testing best practices and contribute to the improvement of QA processes.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to debug and resolve issues.
  • Support the transition from manual to automated testing by mentoring team members and promoting automation adoption.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 4 years in test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Playwright, Cucumber).
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB) and REST API testing.
  • Strong programming skills with JavaScript or similar languages.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitLab, Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Xray).
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, K6) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to self-learn when documentation is limited.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience in the online gaming industry will be considered an advantage.
